Company History Welcome to beautiful Bogue Banks! We sincerely appreciate

for your Resort Rental or Annual Rental home. We are proud to be a leader in the Vacation
Rental industry along the coast. PSSR is family owned and operated; our #1 priority
is to provide both homeowners and guests with exceptional service from each and every
department within our company. We feel that our relationships with homeowners are partnerships requiring communication and participation. Our success on both sides is attributed to our excellent representation in the community and referrals from others. The history of Prudential Sun-Surf Realty began in 1978 as Singleton Realty. Several years later, Alice Smith purchased the company and renamed it Sun-Surf Realty. Alice is still with us today as an active sales agent in the company. In the late 80’s Alice decided to sell the company so that she could focus on Real Estate Sales. In 1997 our current owners, Warren and Tracey Chesnutt, took over the reins. Today, Prudential Sun-Surf Realty manages over 300 Resort Rentals, offers a great selection of Annual Rentals and has one of the strongest Sales teams on the Crystal Coast. Warren and Tracey Chesnutt both grew up living on the coast and found themselves being drawn back to the laid- back atmosphere prevalent at the beach after living and working the fast paced lifestyle in Winston-Salem, NC. Both Warren and Tracey work in the business and hold active Real Estate sales licenses. They chose Emerald Isle since Warren’s family had owned a beach cottage on the island and spent countless summers and holidays here. They found Emerald Isle, as so many of you have, to be the perfect spot to raise their family and to work at the beach. In 1999 Prudential Sun-Surf Reatly merged with Ketterer Realty, owned by Floyd and Bett Messer. This successful merger made PSSR one of the largest companies on Bogue Banks. Floyd came to PSSR to work in Real Estate Sales and is consistently one of our top producers. We like to boast that we have in our Sun-Surf family, two Commissioners: Floyd Messer as Mayor Pro Tem for Emerald Isle and Pat McElraft as Carteret County Commissioner. Prudential Sun-Surf Reatly is a proud member of VRMA (Vacation Rental Managers Association), The Hospitality Association, Resort Rating Specialist and the Emerald Isle Business Association. We know the importance of being active members in these and many other associations so that we may constantly stay on top of industry trends. Each year, we print over 50,000 Rental Guides which are mailed out to homes all over the world, including our large repeat customer base. We advertise in major newspapers such as USA Today and News & Observer, national magazines such as Southern Living and countless websites which all prove to be effective for attracting vacationers. Our extensive marketing budget and plan help to maximize your rental income. Our reservation staff is lead by Robert Blevins, Rental Manager. Our commissions range from 15% - 20% depending upon gross rental income of your property, location and size. Our housekeeping and maintenance departments are managed by Kathy Flick, our Director who has been with our company for over 10 years. Guests and owners arrive to a clean and well maintained property. Offering Resort Rental properties to thousands of vacationers starts with you, the homeowner.
