Brenda remembers the "good old days" when coming to Emerald Isle involved catching the ferry from the mainland to get to the beach. Accommodations were staying at the Emerald Isle Motel or camping out. Mountains of sand dunes were everywhere and shelling was outstanding. She was fortunate enough to spend one full week every year in Emerald Isle with her family.
Then one day in August of 1980, she decided to make the best decision of her life to move permanently from Durham, NC to Emerald Isle. No more leaving on Sunday afternoon feeling depressed and already planning for the next weekend to come back. Accounting was her background until she was offered the opportunity to sell real estate part time. In 1992, she decided to make real estate her full time career and has never looked back.
She strives to sell real estate using Disney's "under promise and over

Growing up in eastern North Carolina I was very fortunate to be able to take
advantage of everything this area has to offer! I knew that this was where
I
wanted to live and raise a family. After graduating from Appalachian State
University and getting married, my husband and I were presented with the
opportunity of moving to Carteret County in 1997 and purchasing
Prudential Sun-Surf Realty. After taking time off to have children, I resumed my
career
in real estate sales in late 2005. It has been wonderful getting back into
such an evolving business!

Kathryn has been in real estate since 2000. She has worked for several airlines in the past and owned her own desktop publishing business before getting into real estate. Kathryn has called several cities home including Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston, Amelia Island Florida, Caldwell NJ and Raleigh/Cary before landing at the Crystal Coast. Her love of learning has led her to earn several designations: ABR Accredited Buyer Representative, CRS Certified Residential Specialist, ePro Internet Professional, PMN Performance Management Network, RSPS Resort Second Home Property Specialist, SFR Shortsale Foreclosure Resource, SRES Senior Residential Specialist and SRS Seller Representative Specialist. These accomplishments represent her dedication to the profession and her clients. Prior to moving to the coast Kathryn was a member of the award winning Kelly Cobb Home Team, Fonville Morrissey, in Cary NC. Kathryn has served her local REALTOR organizations as the Chairman of the Education Committee (2007, 2008). She has served a committee member for both Education and MLS for over five years. She teaches MLS classes at the board. In addition she has been involved with the Crystal Coast Chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS as the Education Chairman, Secretary, President Elect and in 2010 as the Local Chapter President for WCR. Giving back to her community she teaches Google classes at town hall. In 2010 Kathryn was honored as Realtor of the Year! You may be familiar with the saying, "If you want something done give it to a busy person" .... well that would be Kathryn. To round out the picture just imagine a computer savvy gal with an easy smile who is often seen with her furry companion, Bonnie dog, and you have a good sense of Kathryn.

Choosing Emerald Isle to begin his second career after being a Marine for
over 26 years was not a difficult decision for Everett. He grew up in a very
similar area---with a good family atmosphere, mild climate, good schools and
friendly people. Here in Emerald Isle, Everett's daughters, Allison and
Krista, graduated from Swansboro High School and UNCW. Nancy, his wife and
partner for 30 years, is a media specialist at Swansboro High. Everett has

Emerald Isle, Cape Carteret and Swansboro areas. An avid hunter, fisherman
and shell collector, he has traveled the roads, rivers and beaches pursuing

Prior to moving to North Carolina, Martha sold real estate in Virginia. She
and her husband, Don, enjoyed staying in their home in Emerald Isle on
weekends and holidays. Martha's dreams were met when she became a permanent
resident in Emerald Isle. Because of her prior experience selling real
estate along with her appreciation for the area, she decided to become a
Broker/REALTOR in the area as well. Originally from Southside Virginia,
Martha taught business before going into real estate. She and her family
absolutely love the coastal life and the warm and friendly community. They
have a son and daughter-in-law who both teach in the area and reside with
their young son in Cape Carteret. Martha loves working with people (and
